PokerBankrollTips Black Chip Poker Buy-in - 14th Feb Results

Second game of the Black Chip Poker buy-in series saw a bump in the number of starting runners. It's a good trend that we hope will continue.
We appreciate all that came out to support the forum's games at this new room for us. Don't forget to tell your friends, your enemies, your
relations, strangers at the tables. Another game next week.

Here's how the race ended when the cards were done being dealt and the chip stacks being shifted:

Good game everyone... and thanks for playing. Keep getting froze up with Black Chip Poker. Am I the only one that this happens to? I uninstalled and redownloaded and installed again. Still was doing it to me right up to the end of the game. Gets frustrating. Nothing wrong with my connection, but it kept freezing up on me all the time. Was lucky to get more than 2 hands in a row played. BTW... congrats to Card King on the win!

Oh.. BTW... this being a league.. do we have a standings link?

It was a good game last night. this was my first exposure to playing in a PBT tournament. There were some players at the tables I had played with before, which was nice. There were many more I hadn't played with before and gaining exposure to their style of play is important in trying to improve ones game. The thing that stands out the most was how friendly and cordial the players were and the respect they showed for each other. It was a good atmosphere to play in. I got lucky and caught some cards late in the game, when I was in good position, and it made the patience I had to endure early worthwhile. I look forward to many more tournaments with my fellow members at PBT.

As for datsme53. I felt your pain all night long. Both early and late in the game. There is nothing more frustrating than having BCP freeze up on you during a hand. It used to happen to me as well and it just takes the wind out of your sails. If I'm not mistaken it happened to you twice when we were heads up at the final table. Let me share my experience with the same issue. I, like you had uninstalled and re-installed the software 3 times after it started happening to me. I chased my tail like a dog trying to figure out why it was happening to me and other players were not experiencing it. I was also getting security pop ups when logging in about expired or invalid certificates. I spent hours researching and trying to get them validated. All to no avail. At a point in time I got thinking that somewhere around the time I started having problems I had received an automatic upgrade to a different version of Internet Explorer. I never use IE except when I do some consulting work for a Company that requires me to use IE to access their system so I have to have it available. On a lark I went in and uninstalled the update to IE10 and then re-installed IE8 on my machine. I no longer get those security certificate pop ups when I log into BCP and it no longer freezes up on me. I still have a problem with their software but it is tolerable. I find that if I am logged into BCP for too long after registering for a tourney that when it starts and I go to the lobby it will always show, no matter how far into the game, all of the players still at the tables with their original stacks. For some reason it is non-functional. I now, after I register for a tourney, close BCP and wait to login just before the start of the tournament and it has helped that problem as well.

I'm not sure my experience with IE will help your problem but I'd be remiss if I didn't share with you what my experience was. Please do not ask me how one could relate to the other as I have no clue. I was grabbing at straws and for once got the long one in my quest to try and solve my BCP problem. Good luck!

I decided to try a goofy freeroll on BCP to see if it acted any better... froze up on me again. I use Firefox as my default browser. I thought I'd try changing to IE as my default browser.. seemed to do the trick.. at least for that one game anyway. Played it for over an hour and didn't freeze up again. Could be Firefox has some issues where BCP is concerned. Poker rooms use your default browser when they are running.
